The board of directors of Deere & Co. elected Samuel Allen as president, chief operating officer and a member of the board of directors effective June 1, and CEO effective Aug. 1. Robert W. Lane, chairman and CEO, will serve as chairman of the board until Allen’s expected succession as chairman.
