Call for Technical Abstracts

The Underground Construction Technology International Conference & Exhibition is now accepting abstracts for its industry-leading Educational Program. The UCT symposium aims to explore cutting-edge trenchless technical advancements and impacts on the underground construction and rehabilitation industries; present ideas and concepts that could ultimately enhance or redirect research in the field of trenchless construction activities; and provide an interactive forum for various industry researchers to discuss and share their work with industry peers.

Most sessions will be approximately 20 minutes for presentation, 5 minutes for questions and answers. Longer presentations with multiple presenters will be considered for up to 45 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of Q&A.

Possible focus areas include:
1) Emerging technologies;
2) Enhancing current construction, rehabilitation and remediation equipment/methods;
3) Geotechnical information;
4) Pipeline inspection and condition assessment;
5) Risk assessment;
6) Quantifying social costs and impacts;
7) Asset management; and
8) Ongoing research efforts.

Accepted abstracts will require submission of a draft paper for review by Sept. 26, 2011 with revised paper submitted for the conference proceedings CD by Dec. 5, 2011. NO PRESENTATION WILL BE ALLOWED UNLESS THE PAPER IS SUBMITTED ON TIME.
